Teachers do so much for us, and many do lots of extra things not in their official job descriptions – such as fundraising!
At USA Fundraising, we want to say a big “thank you” to all the teachers out there, and give you some ideas for how you and your children can show your appreciation for the teachers who’ve touched your lives:
Handmade cards from students are something many teachers cherish for years because they’re truly a gift from the heart. You can get supplies at any craft store, or even at your local discount shop. Plus, it’s a great family-time activity to do with your kids.
Plants & Flowers
Give teachers beautiful, leafy green plants or bouquets of flowers and attach a note thanking them for helping your child “grow” or “blossom”.
A Day at the Spa
If you have a little more money to spend, a pampering treat is a great way to say “thank you” to someone who gives so much of themselves every day.
Most local newspapers have community announcement, or ‘special message’ sections. Call yours up and ask about placing an announcement thanking a special teacher for all his/her hard work. When the paper comes out, highlight the announcement and have your child present it to the teacher.
A Simple “Thank You”
What’s better than hearing the words straight from someone’s mouth? Especially in this time of emails, cell phones and faxes, a warm face to face “thank you” is a simple, but perfect way to show someone how much you appreciate them.
